SMALL GROUPS

We currently have 24 small groups of various types meeting throughout the week with the purpose of going deeper into our weekly scripture teaching from Sunday. TOPIC: 8 BIG QUESTIONS OF FAITH

Summary: Starting August 27TH. This 8 week study will help us think about and answer common questions that believers have pondered over the years about the Christian faith. Questions like,  "What is Heaven like? ",  "Will God protect us,  and if so,  why is life still so hard? ", and "Where is God in this mess? " will be discussed.  Anyone is welcome at any point during the series.

The Book of Romans, Chapters 9 - 11 (9 lessons at $2.25 per lesson )

God doesn't go back on His promises. He can always be trusted. Romans 9-11 is an extended discussion of the subject of God's sovereignty—election, predestination, and responsibility—focusing on His choice of Israel and His faithfulness to His covenant.

Topic:No you are not Idiot's! Just confused or frustrated trying to read the greatest book ever written. You don't have to be afraid of the Bible any more, this class was chosen just for you. Understanding the Bibles layout and getting the most out of what you have read from Genesis to Revelation. Improving your familiarity with the Bible is simply a matter of gradually adding small bits of new information. Bring your Bible and a note book.

Cost: Study books are $3.00 and must be ordered.

SCHOLARSHIPS AVAILABLE

CCU programs are designed to prepare students for a wide variety of career paths while providing students with an active university experience. While the core of CCU is strengthened by a commitment to our common faith, the application of those beliefs after graduation are useful in the church, school or business community. Full-time students who are active members of Mount Carmel Christian Church may receive a tuition scholarship of up to $3,000 per year ($1,500 per semester). WOODLAND LAKES CHRISTIAN CAMP

We are a supporting partner with WLCC. Located just 15 minutes south in Amelia, we are blessed to have such a great resource in our own backyard. MATTHEW 25: MINISTRIES

We are volunteering at Matthew 25: Ministries, a local international humanitarian aid and disaster relief organization the third Tuesday of every month. More info on Matthew 25: Ministries can be found at www.m25m.org.


Mat Making Class: October 14TH
Foyer • 10AM - Noon
We will be making mats out of the plastic bags that we have been collecting. Matthew 25: Ministries will distribute these mats to those in need to provide comfort and shelter.


FOOD DRIVE
Supporting Local School Children
September 24TH - October 22ND
Many local school children depend on school lunches for their primary source of nutrition. Every Friday the Batavia Backpack Program and Bethel's Empowered Youth give a bag of food to any child who wants one so that they will have something to eat over the weekend.
