Preschool Helpers needed
Would you consider partnering with us to serve in our Children’s Ministry? How can we continue to reach kids for Christ without the ongoing help of volunteers? We need 10 – 12 people who are willing to teach our young ones about who God is and how much he wants to be their friend. We need help during all service times. If you would like to serve in this ministry and want more details, please call Shannon Hogan, Children’s Minister @ 528.0230 or send an email to shogan@mtcarmelchurch.org.

Serving Opportunities
Blanket distribution on Christmas! On Christmas morning, people from Mt. Carmel Christian Church will be going downtown to distribute blankets and sleeping bags (new and used) and goodie bags to the homeless. We will be meeting at 7 a.m. at the church and carpool. This will be a very humbling experience and a wonderful way to show how to Love God with Passion, Love each other with Joy, and Take Love to our Neighbors. We encourage everyone young and old to participate. Please mark your calendars and don’t miss out on this opportunity to serve. If you are interested please sign up in the coffee area. Blankets may be placed in the box next to the Christmas tree. Also, these items are needed for the goodie bags (which may be placed in the same box): toothbrushes, small tube of toothpaste, hand warmers, combs, socks, hand wipes, hand sanitizer, Kleenex, boxes of raisins, fruit and baked goods. If you have any questions contact Connie Brasington at 513.312.9733 or send an email to conniebrasington@yahoo.com.
The Giving Tree is up!
Please visit the giving tree in the foyer to select your names for gift giving opportunities this season. All gifts should be placed under the tree no later than December 7th. This is an excellent opportunity to put a smile on the face of a child at Christmas time and help families that need assistance. If you have any questions please call the office, 528.0230.

Church Library
We are in the process of establishing a library at the church. Our goal is to fill the library with current, gently used Christian Fiction and Christian Living books. If you have any of these type books that you would like to donate please bring them in and place them in the bin located in the prayer room. For call Tonya Spurlock, 753.1144 for more information about contributing or if you are interested in helping to set it up.
Inter Parish Ministries
Help by donating canned food for those in need.
We refer people weekly to the Inter Parish Ministries so that their family will have food. Inter Parish Ministries is an interdenominational social service agency that provides people in need with food. They are running extremely low on canned food items and we would like to help them replenish their shelves with tuna, peanut butter and canned beans. If you can spare a few cans of any of these items it would be used for a great cause. So many families are in need right now. We have placed baskets in the foyer by the front door and items can be places in the baskets. If you would prefer to donate money, a container for monetary donations is on the table. Checks are to made to MCCC and put in the money container. All money will be used to buy canned items. If you have any questions please call the church office or contact Gail at grizzo@mtcarmelchurch.org.

You may wonder “how do I connect to this church?” A great way to connect and build relationships is to be a part of a small group. There are groups for adults of all ages and stages of life and spiritual maturity. Most people who have been a part of a small group say the greatest benefit is the close relationships and friendships that develop. For a list of groups, meeting times and locations contact Arlan Howard at 528.0230.
If you have a prayer request please call the office, 528.0230 or email szwerin@mtcarmelchurch.org. You may also list your prayer requests on the communication card located in the back of the chairs in the sanctuary.
