Here’s what you can expect from our Sunday morning services here at Mt. Carmel Christian Church. Our services are on Sunday mornings at 9:30 AM and 11:00 AM and we offer services for our children, birth through sixth grade, at 9:30 AM and 11:00 AM, as well. Our junior and senior high students, seventh through twelfth grade, gather together at 11:00 AM. We invite you to come as you are.

Worship through Music

Our worship band, consisting of many volunteers from the church, will lead us in praising God through music. Many of the songs we perform are contemporary, but we also offer up some more traditional songs to God. The lyrics are projected onto a screen so you can follow along. You may stand or sit during this time.

We invite all believers to partake in bread and juice to remember Christ’s sacrifice for us on the cross. We pass the bread and juice in trays through our rows of seats, allowing each person to take in the Lord’s Supper at their own pace. If for any reason you do not want to take communion, simply pass the trays along.

Once everyone has finished communion, we take up an offering to help fund our ministries at Mt. Carmel Christian Church. We ask everyone to fill out a Response Card and drop it in the tray. Your card provides you the opportunity to sign up for various church activities, ask our staff to contact you, or request a prayer.

A member of our church staff, usually our senior minister, Didi Bacon, delivers a sermon that explores a section of God’s word and its implications for our lives today. The front of every bulletin contains the main Biblical passage we’ll be reading.

After the sermon, members of our worship team will end our service together with another song of praise to God. During this time, if you have a commitment to make, want to be baptized, or have a special prayer need, you can come forward and speak with one of our prayer team members. They will also be available for you after the congregation is dismissed. We invite everyone, though, to mingle in the foyer and enjoy some of our freshly-brewed coffee before leaving.
